- Inscribed 'No61 ' in the upper left-hand corner of the mount. Horses and carts near trees in the foreground; fields in the middle ground; Edinburgh behind; Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat in the distance. Etched with title in the upper left-hand corner. Hand coloured by Robert Adam. Inscribed 'Shades touched by R. Adam' in black ink in the lower right-hand corner of the mount.

- With a description of the scene on the facing page in brown ink. Donated to George III in 1786. Part of a volume of prints and drawings by John Clerk of Eldin together with manuscript descriptions for each and a letter to George III by David Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan. Some of the etchings were hand-tinted by Robert Adam.
