- View of the baroque baldachin covering the main altar in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela above which there is a sculpture of St. James dressed in pilgrim's garb enthroned and surrounded by statues of angels and kings of Spain, with Solomonic columns paired on both sides and image of St. James on horseback brandishing a sword and fighting four men in Oriental costume above; under drapes decorated with tassels. Annotated on the verso in brown ink in two different hands: 'Mr Rob.t Dollton a / Painter Cambridge' above and 'Altar of St. Jago di Compostella / John de Delgado fec: / Gaspar Duchange sc. / O.J.O. / [cross]'.
