Description
A ruined abbey set in a mountainous landscape; a road and grassland in the foreground; figures sitting in the centre of the scene; horses pulling carts of hay; figures burning wool; trees throughout the scene. Inscribed in brown ink 'View in South Wales - Marlow Delt' in the lower centre. Bears inscription in brown ink 'Tintern Abbey' in the lower centre. Bears inscription '150' in brown ink in the lower right-hand corner.

Additional information
This drawing was misidentified as Tintern Abbey in the 1829 'Catalogue of Maps, Prints, Drawings, etc., forming the geographical and topographical collection attached to the Library of his late Majesty King George the third'. It was re-identified as Valle Crucis Abbey and Dinas Bran in 1982.
