- View of the old City Guard House, Edinburgh; a figure on the right on tied to a wooden horse and a murket strapped to each foot; a figure on the left with a latter; a soldier (John Dhu) looking out from the doorway. Inscribed 'Mr. B- punished for neglect of Duty' in brown ink on verso.
