- Description
- Barges on a canal in the foreground and spectators sitting on the banks watching a procession of sailing ships pass through the gates of a sluice, with a group of soldiers standing on the left and crowds standing on the masonry and outside cottages on the left. Pasted on mount with washlines and annotated with title and date (November 1793) in pencil on verso. Signed with initials at bottom right.
