Inscribed 'N51' in the upper left-hand corner of the mount. Figures in a rowing boat in the foreground; Loch Leven Castle surrounded by water at the centre of the scene; mountains in the distance. Etched with title in the lower left-hand corner.

With a description of the scene on the facing page in brown ink. Donated to George III in 1786. Part of a volume of prints and drawings by John Clerk of Eldin together with manuscript descriptions for each and a letter to George III by David Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan. Some of the etchings were hand-tinted by Robert Adam.
