- Additional information
- This drawing was misidentified in 1829 as depicting the Library at Ely Cathedral. There are two erroneous inscriptions on the drawing: a crossed out inscription in black ink below the image which reads 'Library of Ely Cathedral' and the pencil inscription on verso which reads 'The Library'. A note in pencil in the hand of John Holmes, Assistant Keeper in the Department of Manuscripts at the British Museum, on a separate sheet below the image correctly identifies the location of the building.
