- Arched door with decorated voussoirs and moulded archivolts supported by paired Ionic pilasters between engaged columns under entablature decorated with geometrical motifs and balustrade at left, and arched door with mask as keystone decoration, moulded archivolts and entablature supported by Ionic pilasters at right, each with its plan and scale.

Prefixed to each tome are the Arms of Joseph Smith, formerly British Consul at Venice, to whom the work once belonged; and a table in MS. entitled:
