This author considers that 'Drei's drawing constitutes a proposal for reinforcing the foundations by increasing the number of wells [under the tower], a position consistent with that of Cipriano Artusini and Martino Longhi, and favored by Innocent X for a time' and she notes its relationship with another drawing in the Vatican Library (BAV Vat. lat. 11257, fol. 150).
