- Inscribed 'No37' in the upper left-hand corner of the mount. Three travellers on a road in the foreground; fields and trees in the middle ground; Clackmannan Castle on a hill in the distance. Cut so that title and date are missing.

- With a description of the scene on the facing page in brown ink. Donated to George III in 1786. Part of a volume of prints and drawings by John Clerk of Eldin together with manuscript descriptions for each and a letter to George III by David Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan. Some of the etchings were hand-tinted by Robert Adam.
