This print appears to be related to a drawing by Thomas Robins the Elder (1716-1770) in the V&A E.1308:36-2001 entitled 'Drawing of Charmy Down Farm, sited on the north prospect of Lansdown'. It is not clear if this print is based on the drawing or if the drawing is based on this print. According to Bath Archives the view depicts St Nicholas Farm in Charmy Down, Upper Swainswick, Bath. Charmy Down Farm appears to have been called Nicholas Farm in the eighteenth century: both Thomas Thorpe
