- This plate appeared in 'Views of the principal towns and castles in Scotland : for Mr. Tindal's continuation of Mr. Rapin's history ' 'The History of England (1732-1747)' and also in Nicolas Tindal's 'The History of England' from c.1784 until 1789. It perhaps more likely that this particular print came from the 1780s publication due to the fact that George III and his librarians were collecting recently published items at that date.
