- Inscribed 'N49' in the upper left-hand corner of the mount. Horses and riders and cottages in the foreground; ships in combat on the sea and a windmill to the left; fields on the right; a road at the centre of the scene leading to St Andrew which sits on the horizon. Etched with title, number and initials in the upper left-hand corner.

- With a description of the scene on the facing page in brown ink. Donated to George III in 1786. Part of a volume of prints and drawings by John Clerk of Eldin together with manuscript descriptions for each and a letter to George III by David Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan. Some of the etchings were hand-tinted by Robert Adam.
