This drawing was catalogued in 1829 as a design for St John's Church, Wapping but was later amended to St George in the East in the annotated catalogue Maps Ref 2.1 (2). In 1844 the drawing was catalogued as a design for St Anne's Church, Limehouse. Four drawings were removed from this group and bound with drawings for Christchurch Spitalfields (K.Top.23.21.2.m - K.Top.23.21.2.p.). This and all drawings at Maps K.Top.23.21.2.a - Maps K.Top.23.21.2.k. are bound together and depict St George-in-the-East. St George-in-the-East was built between 1714-1729.
