Two women, two men and two small children stand in the middle of the street in front of the Senatorial Palace in Milan next to a beggar leaning on a rail by the canal, with porters carrying pails and barrows at left and two boatmen on a barge at right in the foreground and palace, bridge and houses in the background. Title contains coat of arms of Princess Augusta Amalia of Bavaria.
