- Side and front elevations of the the North Gopuram or gateway tower at the Thillai Natarajah Temple, Chidambaram; seven storeys with elaborate carvings depicting figures and animals. Inscribed with titles in black ink. Each title broken by the top of the tower. Inscribed 'Remarques que toutes les quartres pagodes est baty de pierre de Taille de A e_, B et le Reste et faitde chaux et Briques' in black ink between the two elevations. Signed and dated in black ink between the two elevations. Inscribed 'C, D, Varangue qui est la 7r Etage large de 4 pieds et ces trous j'esvent a bruleez des Lampes pendant la Nuite de meme est dans les autre 3 pagodez ou covera' in black ink between the two elevations. Inscribed below scale 'Echelle de six Toises, ou Trente et six pieds Angloise' in black ink. Several sheets overlapping and stuck down to form one.
