- Description
- Design by Thomas Telford and James Douglass for a cast iron bridge to replace London Bridge. Viewed over the River Thames; ships passing beneath, carriages and carts using the bridge roadway; arcaded embankment approaches. This design was not used due to concerns about its technical feasibility and the space required to construct it.
