Description
The inside view of the ruins of the chapel Beaurepaire or Bear Park near Durham. Signed in black ink in the lower left-hand corner. Bears additional sheet below which reads 'Inside View of Beauepaire commonly Bearpark Durham 1778'. Bears a second inscription on verso 'The Chapell at Bearpark near Durham 1783' in brown ink on verso. This script is likely to be by the same hand as the inscription at Maps K.Top.12.44.a. and probably reflects the correct date and title.
