Three groups of men walk among the ruins of the macellum or Roman marketplace at Pozzuoli (formerly believed to be the Temple of Jupiter and Serapis), with stone walls on two sides and three broken shafts standing by the remains of a circular building at right; within painted frame with black edges and title annotated in white ink below.
