View of the batteries, trenches and fortifications built around the Bay of La Concha from the ruins of the Convent of St Bartholomew in St Sebastian at the time of the Peninsular War, with Santa Clara Island on the left, Mount Urgull with town at its feet in the middle, and Mount Uli_a seen beyond Zurriola beach on the right.

The Convent of St Bartholomew (San Bartolome_) and the surrounding area, occupied by the French army, were destroyed by a fire started on 31 August 1813, during the Siege of St Sebastian by Spanish, British and Portuguese troops.
