Panoramic view of Rome seen from the Janiculum, ontwelve sheet joined; the Vatican and St Peter's on the left-hand side; the city cretching across the right-hand side. Indice or Index running along the lower edge. Below image. Title and dedicaton etched as an inscription on a tablet on lower left-hand corner. Etched with the verses from the 64th epigram by the Roman poet Martial 'HINC SEPTEM DOMINOS VIDERE MONTES . . . ET TOTAM LICET AESTIMARE ROMAM m.Val.mart.lib.4.epig.64.' along lower edge below image, above index, broken by a coat of arms.
