- Figures in the foreground; three tree-lined avenues; the central avenue leading to Glamis Castle which sits at the centre of the scene. Inscribed with title in black ink along the lower edge outside image. Signed and dated in black ink in the lower left-hand corner. Stamped with the Duke of Cumberland's cipher 'VOL. IV. 89' in red ink, the '89' written in red ink.
