Description
Two outline elevations and sections of the tower of the church of St. James, Garlickhythe. Bears inscription 'St Jam Garlickhythe' in brown ink in the lower right-hand corner. Bears inscriptions 'Vintry Ward within' and 'No16AB1481' in brown ink on verso.

Additional information
The church of St James Galickhithe was destroyed by the Fire of London in 1666. It was rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren in 1682 but lacked a steeple. Nicholas Hawksmoor designed the steeple in 1717. The design on the right-hand side reflects the steeple and tower as built.
