Description
British infantry soldiers rest by a road and talk to a woman carrying a baby on her back, while soldiers and travellers including a man carrying his family on a cart pulled by two cows travel up the road away from two hills crowned by fortifications in the background, with the plains of Extremadura in Spain seen beyond. Dedication contains coat of arms of the Duke of York.
