- Additional information
- This work bears an inscription stuck on the verso which reads 'I think the Crypt Canterbury Cathedral'. this identificaiton was in place before 1829 when the work was catalogued. There is no strong evidence to suggest this work depicts the crypt at Canterbury. This work is also accompanied by a separate sheet attached to the support page which reads 'P Sandby' in pencil. While this work bears certain stylistic similarities with that of Sandby, there is no strong evidence to provide a firm attribution.
